I bought this just to try as a less expensive alternative to PrismFX. The quality of the filter is better than I expected. The unaffected area in the middle still looks sharp and crisp in my photos while giving a nice ghosting effect to varying degrees on the edges. The effect changes based on how much I zoom in/out and/or how close I stand to the subject. The filter mounts cleanly and I had no issue with it on the front of my lens. I would recommend this lens as an extra tool in the bag to give your work different looks.
